Motogp bikes are effectively all around us. The new Ducati RR is a motogp bike for the street. The Yamaha M1 is similar to an R1 and the R6 draws on the technology. The greenie Kwaka has direct links to the ZX-10R etc etc.
They all have two wheels and GP racing gives us new thinking and performance for road bikes.
SBK is cool but will never be the top rank of motorcycle racing, it'll always be Motogp's poorer cousin.

Same as that Formula1 bullshit - gimme the V8s any day.
V8's suck, they have locked diffs, completely different suspension setups to the road cars, 1940's engine technology that is tuned to the hilt. They only have a passing resemblance to the overweight/out of date junk you buy in the showrooms.
Some good racing though, but it was better when it had more manufacturers involved, back when Godzilla was cleaning up.

well, actually, thinking about it - I haven't actually watched any V8's at all since Brock was on poll - same with the GP and Doohan.
They lost me in the hype and the gawd awful commentary.
Superbikes has the sound turned off to be bearable too.

    so,
an incompetent aussie defender hurls himself at Grosso & never makes contact with the ball
so then he decides to raise his LEFT arm into contact with Grosso's LEFT leg
    and it's a "lousy decision"?!

    right.

(i'm not picking on you; yours is the 1st post that mentions it, that's all...)

RadioSport was pissing me off on Tuesday. All day their news updates included "Australia dominated the game; controversial decision in injury time"....what the?!

It may look like "aimless" passing... but most of the time goals are scored due to the very space & opportunities these "aimless" passes create.

    Ah, the beautiful game.

Sure, some players do nothing for the image of football when they dive all over the show... But 80% of the time, it's a beautiful game!

    FORZA AZZURRI!!!

You have to smile at the naivety of the Aussies. You lie down in front of an Italian in the box, what the hell do you think is gonna happen.

Couple of flats and a bag of gravel thanks.

Nah - world cup OD well before the Aus v Ital game.

I love basketball - a goal (or attempt) every 24 seconds and 100+ points the target.

1-0 results and the diving, theatrical cheats and the way they manhandle the ref in soccer has started to piss me off.

    Ugly game it has become.

I like to watch and play soccer, (its the best game to play with out having to worry about field space/ number of players) but in the world cup I hate it when they pretend to be hurt from the fouls, bunch of women.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

soccer, soccer, no one calls it soccer - well apart from the yanks, the aussies and now the kiwis, it would seem -its football, its always been football and always will be fooball and unless your born in a football nation and brought up around it, then it s hard to fathom.

Anything apart from international rugby leaves me cold, but I'd watch any game of football anywhere at anytime......now if you could somehow introduce power sports into the mix then I'd go nuts!
