Suzuki TS50-XKR for sale! - spousal emergency!

    Hi All,
Firstly I am quite sad to have to part with this bike... The reason is spousal emergency. Basically I took out a loan a couple of weeks ago to buy this bike, and ALL THE GEARS, without speaking to my partner first.

Now my marraige is at stake, and i've been told to sell it or else...

I bought this 2 weeks ago from a trader on www.kiwibiker.co.nz - My motorcycle friends tell me the bike is in really good condition, and has also been serviced every 6 months.

If you have any techy questions, i'll need to ask the original seller and get back to you, as i'm not a motorbike pro.

Happy for you to come and view/try the bike. The only issue with it is a small dent on the front of the bike where someone had backed into it - very minor and does not affect bike at all.

Please feel free to ask any questions

Great bike to learn on, or for commuting round town. Off road style, so could be a bit of fun also.

Top bike in excellent condition and fully Road legal. CAN BE RIDDEN ON A CAR LICENCE. Does not require WOF.
    Current rego till August

Has done 5296KM, only issue is a small dent on the front - caused by someone backing into it, does not affect bike at all.

Ah bummer man, thats a really cool lil bike!
Are you sure she's really that serious? You havent even ridden it yet! AND what about the gear and stuff! Could me and Glenn maybe convince her that its not a bad idea?
Good luck with whatever you decide, but I really think you should try and keep it!

Jeez mate, she's a hard woman
I did something similar....I had a GSX-R600 for about 6 months and traded it on a GSX-R1000. I didn't tell her until after I had signed for it......she wasn't happy for a few days still, she got over it.

i say buy yourself some time, say your tying to sell it, when you have some time..learn to ride on it, and after some time of "not being able to sell it" go for a little slow ride around the house, maybe take on of your kids on the back if you have one (or two) and then eventually take her.
depends if its a money thing though, you could use the no warrant, 70 buck rego, cheap gas reasoning.
check out scootling for a price comparrison on a 50cc anything to car (1300)

    gutting, man...
i'll buy it back off ya. depreciation over te last week or so is huge though given the weather, i'll do you a favour and give you $100 :P

as previous owner of this bike I can vouch for how mint it is. never ever let me down except for the time I ran it out of petrol and had to push it 2km to the nearest servo. any questions feel free to pm me on them if jeremy's not too sure.

you married to this chick? if not, damn, i'd be inclined to let her slide, this has gotta be an investment more than anyhting else. point out to her that there;'s one on trademe at $2k starting, and that you got yours for a steal, heh
just hang on to it etc, I tend to look at my vehicles (down to 5 now) as being the high maintenance spouse that I can just park in the shed if things get 'too rough' lol. especially with owning a french car, and a japper over 30 years old...

good luck, don't back down..... seriously.

    true story..

this bike = THE cheapest transport around, public transport included. $10-$12 fills on 96, 350-400k per tank before reserve, $70 a year rego. damn. even running a car as well, you'll still save enough money in fuel to offset the initial cost in just a few months.

    What u4ea said.

Free marriage counselling. If the spouse has overreacted that much, your marriage is in trouble without having bought the bike in the first place.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

I second what Jim says mate. Dont be pushed around by a girl who is not ready to compromise with you.
Besides, it was your desision, not hers...
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
