They've been sending us over the new stretch of SH1 from Mercer to Meremere the last few days,to wheelpack the new chip I expect.50kph between cones all the way....they gradualy move the cones over so the whole road gets covered.Last night I see flashing lights of a fire engine behind me,then he goes into the unused inside lane past all us cars.Coming down the old ''Bridge to Nowhere'',that now goes somewhere - I see some cop cars,blue and reds everywhere....the Huntly fire engine comes from the other way,and later an ambulance.Sitting off to the side are a couple of smashed cars,one a Skyline - smacked up bad enough they need an ambulance and fire applianced to wash away the fuel.
Duh - where's the hope,when they can do this at 50kph with a road gang keeping us in the cone area?
