    Wanted: Yamaha Speedo early 80's

I'm on the scrounge for a speedo and maybe a matching tacho for a 1983 XV750. Some members of KB have suggested that other Yamahas of that era will have compatible speedo/tacho parts so I'm interested in what is around gathering dust on your workshop shelf. The XV750 speedo has a cable drive straight from the front wheel, and the tachometer is electronic. I'm not fussed on the original bits for this project and want something that looks nice and not too large. Send me a message or reply to this thread if you have something that might be worth a look.

mate are you 100% sure you have a lekkie tacho??
If you do the only options I can suggest to you (using yamaha parts) is
the XJ900n or the XJ750 retro model.
I coulda sworn the xs has a cable operated tacho

Ebay mate. Replaced my entire gauges unit about a year ago that way, cheapest option.

But becarefull if you get a different year or model from your bike. Got a 92 XV1000 gauges for my 93 1100 and the wiring inside had a few extra wires and the plugs were wrong. Not that hard to change them out but more time than I wanted to spend doing it.
