lol the reason peeps dont upgrade MAC's is that there are no worth while app's to run onit, never found a decent gamer/programmer using a Mac tbh...

True, but publishers are social missfits and academia ...Dont get me started on that lot, they are so far removed from society that they wouldnt have a clue if it hit 'em on the head...hence why they use Mac's.

But, your generally right Horses 4 Pukey ....Oops I mean courses.

People who deal with big rows of numbers or code or 'systems' people tend to favour the Windows way - creatives tend to identify better with the mac gui.

You can't tinker under the hood on a mac nearly as much as a dos box. This may be a disadvantage for often repetitve work - many of the creatives that use macs start with a blank page most times anyway.

that was true with sys 9 BD, but with OSX being a glossy cap over UNIX,
there plenty of tinkering available for the geekily endowed.

    I stand corrected.

I never embraced resedit or scripting anyway.

Far more apps-centric. I love solving them - flash and 3d and video packages have always been like big jig saw puzzles. How the pieces are made never appealed.

I have to agree, Magnum Mac are pretty good, however they are certainly not cheap?

Was hoping to find someone a little more user freindly price wise

you know apple have a good support section on the site that tells you how to do stuff like swap the HD etc..? I'm sure BC has explained it all, it's not hard. Just find a new one to replace it with, try to back up as much as poss onto CD (or external drive) and replace it.. eaaaaasy.
or if you need a hand, shout.. someone must be near by..

waaaaaaahhhhh I wanna mac at home.... sick of my fkn Pc crashing for inexplicable reasons.. one of those nice new shiny iMacs or even a Macbook pro would be dandy
