Talking FOR SALE: 81 Yamaha XJ550

    Recently repainted, cleaned and serviced.

I just spent 3 months cleaning up, repainting and replacing bits on this bike.

Recently replaced: clutch cable, oil and filter, engine mount bolt, mirrors, foot peg, tank badges, new kit in front brake master and slaves, new fork seals, new back shocks, air cleaner, spark plugs, handgrips, front brake lever, and clutch lever/mirror holder .

It is very tidy and complete.

Comes with pack rack, brand new rear sprocket (not fitted as has a good one on it). Also comes with another bike for parts (about 60-70% complete bike) and all the parts I took off.

Registered until the 2nd of Dec... Warranted until the 7th of August... Will pass next WOF.

Rear tyre will get 1 more wof, front tyre is good for another couple of years. Good battery.

Engine makes a little noise when cold idling (what bike this age doesn't?) but does not blow smoke or use oil.

This bike loves going full throttle and is fairly quick when you do.

Hmmmm I got one in the wreck... not going with a couple of bits missing and in unknown condition....

Would rather get rid of the whole lot rather than break it up though, but cheers for that
