I've never used the 'ignore' function, but also, I cant see much point in the rep function. Under my name is a row of green blobs with a revolving barbers pole above the green squares. I have no idea what they all mean, good or bad. One day I will take time and learn how this website functions.

I just post without reading the previous 8 pages, jump to conclusions, assume my opinion is required and express views based entirely on rumours, untruths and unsupported assumptions.

Off topic, I will say that I have started some threads and have learnt alot on those subjects by others who have been there, done that and have far more knowledge than myself.

Count yourself lucky Miss K that you didn't get infracted for ''thread dredging'' which was the case a few years ago when I posted in a thread that hadn't seen a post was 18 months... shock horror!

The Mod team are not so highly strung as once were. (oh please please let that be grammatically correct)

I did think twice about it, but have read time and time again about people posting questions and threads that have already been covered in the past and not using the mighty "search" function. All my old red rep disappeared when my old profile disappeared. Was quite nice to see it all go to be honest.

If old issues weren't re hashed from time to time, the forum would have died years ago. Sometimes the search function results takes longer to sift through than does posting a new query, which usually produces up to date knowledge etc.
