Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.
yea that photo was taken sometime last year, now that they are starting to rund 3 rounds series the rules have toughened up alot! the guy pictured shouldn't even be on the track, no idea who he is but i know his he's got no feeling in his legsthat'd explain why he doesn't push it that hard
that track looks like a bit of a hoot....
Ill have to come race one day![]()
Well that might convince hXc and MSTRS into gettin g their buckets out again, meetings are second sunday of every month. Low gearing is highly reccomended(sp?)
I've walked the track. It's quite safe to do that on. Don't know about racing on it...Originally Posted by speights_bud
If you think the carpark we're using now is tight or rough you should see this!
Trail bikes should do well.
Its not quite that bad, skunk. the few laps i did out there were humm interesting, must find some time to go back over and have a giggle. in saying that i must find some time to come back down to welly and ride the new bike now its going. maybe next month.Originally Posted by Skunk

Reread Stanko's post, he's mentioning restricting the slide opening not restricting the throat size.
Not here he isn'tOriginally Posted by gav

If you put a 24mm restrictor plate in a 28mm carb it is only going to flow as much as a 24mm carb, thats why the rule says equivilent of a 24mm carb so you just have to restrict the opening.
Two Stroke, the pinnacle of engine design
So i guess the Kh hasn't made it to you yet? if i knew it'd take this long i coulda had it personally delivered once or twice by nowOriginally Posted by Skunk

The rule regarding "equivalent" is in there to cater for two stroke twins, like a T90 or GT125 etc. It was discussed on here that the equivalent to a single 24mm carb, is actually something like 2 x 17mm, not 2 x 12mm as you'd possibly think? Wouldn't the intake side, the size of the slide etc have so bearing on how much a carb can actually err "carburette" ?Originally Posted by TygerTung
KH100 engine is here... two in fact. Yours was the better one. The other came with the remains of a frame. Thats the 'sphecial' bit. I'm learning to arc weld thin tube...Originally Posted by speights_bud

what a ride so far!!!!
Head north on SH2. Cross the bridge into Waipawa and turn right at the end of the bridge. Don't pass the BP. Follow the track to the rail bridge. Look under it. There's the track on the riverbank.Originally Posted by ajturbo
My guess is the next one is 13 August.
