Working in Welly at Sytec or Telstra??

Any of you guys and gals working for Sytec or Telstra in Welly?

I'm being nosey as I'm thinking about taking a postition with them. Saw a few people with bike gear when I went down for interviews. I'd be interested in any feedback on what it's like there.

Telstra are about as useful as an umbrella in a Wellington Southerly - ooo look there's one outside now. I've a mate who is a Project Manager at Telstra if you want a contact.

Sytec are the least helpful IT organisation I've ever dealt with in 20 years of working in IT. Lots of really good guys work there, but whenever I've been on the customer end, I've been left feeling like I just paid someone to do me a favour. The favour wasn't really what I was after either. Ask for X and get 12.

Dont know what Telstra are like to work for, but I have always found their service to be absolute shite.

I'll second that, 8 years in IT and same experience with both companies. Though if you want to feel REALLY used try working for telecom. They pay well but jeez do they get their pound out of you.

What IT company do you work for Jim2? PM me if its more comfortable.
