    I know what to do.

Lets get the whole of New Zealand not to buy petrol for one day and then the petrol companies will have to put prices down.

There's always a reason for an increase But I'm glad to pay extra if it means more bikes and fewer cars on the road.

    I tell you what...

If the whole of NZ stopped breathing for a day maybe the trees would produce more oxygen...

All that happens in your scenario is people double fill the day before or after.

Hmmm If I was in charge of petrol companies and I discover that no one bought fuel one day, the only logical thing for me to do would be to increase the price of petrol since many will HAVE to buy petrol sooner or later... so... it doesn't take a genius to figure that out, so no I don't think that idea is going to fly...

all thats gonna do is make the owner of that site shut down....theres been stations in the states forced to close cos of ideas like that. might not happen in the bigger centers, but in towns like bulls with only one or two stations, theyd be in trouble. then, if bulls bp and mobil [i think?] shut down, the residents in that town would have to go to either sanson or turakina...which takes more petrol. they would then get sick of that and move away from bulls...meaning bulls itself would have to shut down.
the bigwigs who decide the prices aint gonna care if new zealand puts itself out by not buying gas....they simply dont care about us. its the same if no one buys kfc for a day, theyll make their food taste nice.

I'm sure that information has sent a shockwave through New Zealand.

All that would happen if bulls shut down, would be people would have to go a little further before getting to McDonalds and gassing up.
