Don't ever argue with an idiot.... they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Got it today. Done 15000k's, 2005 model, was recently on Trade Me but didnt sell. In pretty good nick apart from needing a good scrub, and some cosmetics sorted (crack next to windscreen and bottom of main fairing). Also needs a new rear tyre. I'm like a 3 year old at xmas now, but dont have any gear yet... there's only so much fun you can have sitting on the bike in the garage.
Anyway, here it is...
Here's my new 2fiddy!! Picked it up at the weekend and rode it up from Welly to AK.
2006 Hornet with 6k on the clock.

All good, they are fun bikes, ive ridden one myslelf, Im just more annoyed at the prices theyre flicking 250s off more than anything. But If its basically brand new (condition wise I mean - its probably a 2000-2001 model, the dealers sometimes use the year that they are first registered in New Zealand for the model year. (they do it with the zxr250s - giving them model years that are 4 years after production stopped))
Id much rather have one than a Hyobag 250.
Enjoy your new bike.![]()
I much rather have one over a hyobag to.....

Can they do that?? I mean if it was say a 2002 bike but they bring it into NZ and then say it's a 2006?? Shouldn't that be illegal? Misrepresentation or something like that - sounds a little shady to me. Maybe i'll call them up and check as if it was an 03 and it was sold to me as an 06 i wouldn't be too happy.![]()
here's what i got...
