    Stuttering in the rain

My good old Suzuki GN250 was stuttering a bit in the rain today, especially in the high revs, kinda like it was running out of petrol. This is because rain is getting sucked in, yes? It was raining really hard, this is in Wellington, which y'all would have seen on the news tonight.
How do I eliminate this. New better air filter?
Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely. I should wait for it to stop raining and ride again to see if the missing has cleared up.

    Water in the coils.

You get it real bad on my RF900R. It's prevented by spraying silicon over the coils.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
