Auckland Ride to Tongaporutu Sat 8 July

Hey folks, I'm off to Tongaporutu in the 'Naki on Saturday morning to stay with some mates for the weekend, so I thought I'd throw up a post incase any one felt like coming along for some or all of the ride.

Gonna be leaving Auckland at around 09:30 from the East Tamaki Rd on-ramp. I'll take the SH1 south to Ngaruawahia then SH39 to Otorohanga, Then on to Te Kuiti and Tongaporutu via SH3.

Could take SH22 to make the ride more interesting, but I'd rather get there more directly and avoid the early morning slipperyness of 22

Not gonna be hooning, just looking to enjoy the scenery. Let me know if you feel like meeting up at some point along the way.

    Cheers,

    - SW.

Hey Kittyhawk, sadly I won't be going after all, for a variety of reasons, one of which being the weather.

Yes, I was going to be going through Pirongia which is on SH39.

    Maybe another time...

Yeah, I like it. My friend has a bach there himself...well a converted 20ft container. Very impressively converted mind you
