If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Just had a look at TradeMe... they have a very good selection... a Kona is closing soon on just $400. Hasn't got all the flash suspension, but still looks good...

Trademe's got some good deals on quality bikes. You can pick up something wicked for $1500 or less. The retail prices for some of them are ridiculous though. Just the frame on my mountain bike was $5k'ish new! That was back in 97 too...

Do you do trail rides or road riding?

My bike's built for the off-road action. The frame's still holding up after 9 years though so it can't be all bad. Well 2 replacement frames within the first 6 months, and numerous swingarms and rear derailleurs, but since then it's been fine!

why did you need two replacement frames? Surely they don't break that easy

    Some people just ride hard...

Sometimes the people who build them forgot to have their coffee that morning...

My mountainbike and road bike are both well used and worth the equivalent of my SV - if it's got two wheels, I'll ride it...

Oh, and same as Crasherfromwayback, I've done more damage coming off a mountainbike then off the botormike - admittedly my major injuries on the mountainbike have been while downhill racing and I've been lucky on the track so far...

I interviewed a bike shop owner a few years ago when those low-rider bikes came out (total wankmobiles... ridden by ADULTS!!!) and he was telling me about this racing bike he was getting in for someone - it cost $20,000! And I thought my racing bike (about $800 20 or so years ago) was expensive!

I suppose it's a passion, like anything else, and if you really want it and it does the job you want it to do, then it's worth it. I've had a Nikon F5 camera for about 10 years, cost me over $4000 for the body alone when I bought it and that was a fair whack of my pay for a long time. Many people said I was mad, but it led to a very profitable sideline as a motorsport photographer and due to that, I ended up learning to ride, buying a bike and then meeting my husband at a bike rally! So I consider that money well spent!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

My wife had one back in SA..some GT, rockshock..all the goodie mejibby. I though cool!!I'll start cycling to work. What did I find? Even with a $4k bike, you still have to peddle your arse off!
Looks nice though, but too much!
    Don't you just love golf?
