Specially the bit where one dog gives up and they let the other one tear it apart for no reason.

That chick they interviewed was oh so smug......would'nt be surprised if she was involved somehow.

People involved in dog fighting need to a dose of ZyklonB.

I forced myself to watch this and I was absolutely disgusted. Sport? Sport my arse, that kind of thing may have been considered 'sport' in the days of the gladiators, but it certainly isn't today. I have never seen anything so horrifying in all my life and that incident mentioned above was one of the worst. How could any HUMAN condone dog fighting, let alone let the fight continue when one animal was obviously beaten and almost dead, is way beyond my comprehension.

As my husband pointed out, the guy who owned the dogs got a piddly fine and community service, yet the couple selling some 'melt your fat' product copped a fine of $800,000. All they did was tell lies about what their product could do, they didn't kill anyone.

And as for that 'photographer' cow, she needs a damned good slapping. She obviously covers the fights for them and probably makes good money from it too. She was just as bad as the rest of them.

And as for the roll call of all the missing dogs, I almost cried.

I also agree that is was totally dishusting and very disturbing to watch.

I also can't believe the pittyful little sentence the guy got. But at least we know that the cops and SPCA are out there trying to stop this from happening. But unfortunatley because all that the guy got was basically a slap on the hand and a little "your a naughty boy" attitude.

If I remember correctly a few months back some teenager was charged with throwing a puppy in the air and kicking it on its way down... and his community service was about the same amount of time... IMO this guy should have recieved actual jail time and not just community service.

Like they said at the end of the programme, he is banned from having dogs now, but he will no doubt still play a big part in future dog fights, whether he has dogs or not...

Those types of dogs do have the killer instinct, but subjecting them to that is plain wrong!

Ok - It was sickening to watch. And you've got to be a bit sick to enjoy watching it.

However here's an arguement in defence of the 'sport'. (I'm playing devil's avocado):

These dogs enjoy fighting (did you see their tails wagging and the way they strained to get at one another?). If the owners of the respective dogs stopped the fight once it became apparent that one dog was seriously infured - what harm is there in allowing two consenting animals to have a fight?

Freewill? Animal rights (to choose)? Instinct?

    Please discuss.....
