Jappa Bike Expo - Ellerslie - Sunday 29th Oct???

Does anyone have any info on Bike Show at Ellerslie on Sunday (not the City of Cycles show) Apparently I heard that if you turn up on a Jappa bike you get in free? Just wondered if anyone knew exactly where it is being held (perhaps Ellerslie Racecourse, not sure) and what the hours are etc. Cheers

Yes I heard about it on the radio. From what I understood it was at ellerslie and it was free entry for everyone, more of a showroom for bikes you can buy on the spot I think then an expo as such, correct me if im wrong!

    don't bother

it's a joke, i was there for about 5 minutes.
there is nothing cheap - or even especially good.
a scruffy 2002 900r GPZ (yep - the original one) for $10,495 was pretty funny though..
they have about 10 sportsbikes, a few cruisers, some 400cc scooters (cheapest of those is $6495).
it was all at NZ shop retail or above, and all in all an hour i'll never get back.
stay home and browse bikepoint or trademe i reckon.
nilin have a site (www.nilin.jp) but the bikes were a LOT more expensive than on the site, and there was nothing different or cool.

Thumbs down Don't believe the hype

I concur. A complete waste of time. The two-fiddys were about $7000, good nick but still pricey - not the "show specials" we were led to believe.

Then I went down to the show in Manakau and again only spent 10 mins there, very disappointing unless you're into choppers. I spent more time outside the event centre perving at the visiting bikes parked outside. Waste of $10.

Each to their own I guess.

well it was a custom cycle show, what did you expect? Stock standard road bikes?
