As I understand it the auckland film festival will be heading south to become the wellington film festival etc. in the near future. I've seen a couple of movies so far.

"The wind that shakes the barley", by Ken Loach is well worth going to and is my film of the year so far.

"An inconvienient truth", is also very well made.

"factotum", fantastic sory of alcoholiism.

"A new world", by terrence malick, is a load of old self indulgent shite but looks very pretty!

Am due to see "thank you for smoking" and a few others this week will report back after.
