Or maybe this ride is'nt happening at all and the cops are going to be staking out both SH1 & SH16 for nothing.............................

    Weather is looking sweet!!!!!

    Saturday

North Island, fine or becoming fine in most places, but still some showers in the east with snow to 300 metres at first. South Island, mostly fine and frosty, but a few showers about the east and south coast at first, and along the west coast later.

    Sunday

North Island, mostly fine, with morning frosts in sheltered places, but a few showers in the east at first and in the southwest at night. South Island, mainly fine and frosty but a few showers in the west and south, and some spreading up the east coast.

See you all at 07:00 at Shell tomorrow.

I'll see you all there too.
Not sure if I'll do the full ride or head back after Russell, I'll decide on the day.

The weater reports are improving and it looks like we'll have a fine day, at the most a little over cast.

Anyone else going to come along?

If you aren't keen on SH16 then we'll be stopping in Wellsford briefly at approximately 8:15 am and then carrying on to Whangarei.

    FUCK !!

I had Mc Donalds last night and I can feel that shit brewing a storm down under. I might be making irregular pit stops ...

Here is hoping everyone is ready and rearing to go by 7:30 am, I have to drop off my little girl as well as get out to Westgate, so if I'm not there dead on 7:00 am don't bust a ball or anything, I'll be there before 7:30 am.

Anyone checked the WEATHER FORECAST lately? What a cracker of a day! http://www.metservice.co.nz/default/index.php

    cheers mate

Cheers Swanny for the ride up north...pity about Phoenix losing his chain on the way .

I was gonna turn around at wellsford(hands were stinging beyond belief-yea yea i kno "harden up") and head home but once i started, just couldn't get off the bike.

Anyway made it to whangarei and met up with the northland crew to fill up with gas. Moved the bike forward for a car behind me to fill up....and BANG!! I hadnt put the stand up properly resulting in the bike slamming on its face

Anyways didnt feel like heading up with northland crew so headed on my lonesome to dargs- a blast as always.

Scored a free lunch at the parents then headed on my way back to auckland. Initially boring but things picked up round maungataroto.

Filled up in Wellsford and had a blast through 16 to westgate-could really feel the adjustments to the suspension made the previous day.

Anyways apart from the accident in whangarei service station...bloody good time was had.

    cheers Swanny!!
