Shite that thing is clean! Puts my old girl to shame in the shine department. Excellent price too, I'm sure it won't last long.

These bikes are simply wicked for the money and here is a mint example. Who's gonna buy it...

Yeah, I like clean bikes - they go better (plus I'm a fussy bugger)

Seen the bike in the flesh and can vouch for it being a minter. Good luck with the sale ZZR

So have you chosen your next baby? What have you taken for test rides?

I've looked at a lot of bikes over the last six weeks and have come across nothing that takes me. They either too old (in design), too much plastic, too heavy, expensive, not enough power, no good two up. Pretty much appears the bike I'm looking for doesn't exist. The search continues...

    Geeze, you've been quiet lately.
So what you're looking for is something very much like the ZZR, but lighter? What have you looked at? Very recently I've been wondering if I should sell the FZR, and buy a Pre82 bike and a cheap and cheerful dual purpose bike.

Saw a real nice Triumph today. I was taklking to the guy and he reckoned it was really nice two up and light &manouverable too. You may have to go up a little in $$'s...?

Yeah I know. I've been getting a little pissed off/bored looking at the computer screen at work for the last 4-6 weeks and that's carried through to being at home.

No, nothing like the ZZR this time Tony. Its time to explore the back roads of Banks Peninsula, Molesworth Station, Danseys Pass, Hakataramea Valley and the like. So something that can cope with gravel roads and in all reality nothing more i.e. 90-95% sealed roads 5-10% unselaed _roads_

As for the bikes I've researched and with most of them looked though not necessarily riden, KLR650, DR650, F650GS Dakar, Aprilia Pegaso ('06), DL650/1000, BMW R100GS, R11x0GS, KTM 640, XT660, XT600, XL600, Transalp, Triumph Scrambler. There's probably a few others I've forgotten but I'm sure you get the idea. That really is pretty much the market. There is one in that list that I keep coming back to (though it's still not a perfect fit)...

If you want to catch up I'd be more than happy to show you how many brain cells I've fried going over all this stuff.

So don't be a tease, tell us which one you fancy so we can deride you over your choice

No, bugger off. I wasn't born yesterday (though I can understand you could be confused with my boyish good looks and all)
