Another downside to living in Levin...

I thought the coppers around here had been a bit over zealous lately and here's the reason why:

How nice to know I live in a town where they take road safety so seriously that the cops are prepared to take a drop in pay if they don't get all the morons off the road... yeah, right!

Predictable. *shakes head* What will Uncle Helen have to say about this one?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

It's all speed too, not word about the myriad other traffic offences.
It'll be interesting to hear what Howard calls this one, a 'performance incentive' perhaps?
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

Yes, Merv, there are upsides! Better weather and fewer students than Palmerston North. You and Mental-Trousers don't live here. Not as 'dark' as Auckland (take that any way you want...)

Cheaper housing - for what we paid for our five year-old house on three acres in the country, you'd be lucky to buy a converted state house in Naenae.

And it's still close enough to Wellington to visit regularly!

You should have noted the title of the thread - "ANOTHER downside to living in Levin" - it didn't even mention upsides! But at least we can ride our bikes all year round and we don't have heaps of traffic or regular power cuts!
