I love the idea of another Opo ride!
The Russell Romp sounds like me.
The idea of combining the Opo and Russell rides suits me.
I love the sound of the Maungamuka Gorge - Northern Exposure for me thanks!

tl i might even have the vtr1000 by then so who knows i"m game.
Well, I know a fair amount of people from the Warkworth BBQ, and up north sounds good, so count me in.. what are the expected costs? (how many km's & accomodation costs) <-- so i can start saving
I don't mind either option 3 or 4.. um, and yeah, if someone wouldn't mind putting me up for the Friday night? (this question does not include gareth_d, as he snores too loudly), not really keen on the whole Hamilton to Auckland in 'really early morning' conditions + proper ride afterwards.. - I promise not to blow anything up
- but yeah, would really appreciate that

At this stage I am putting out "feelers" just seeing what people are keen on doing and if they could attend..... BUT after Friday (when the poll closes) the ride will be announced properly and I will start to get costs and also discuss the route we will be taking etc....
But for a ruff gestimate; if we go for the 3 or 4 option (x2 nights - which is over Sat, Sun and Mon) we will be doin approx 300 - 400kms each day. Now this might sound daunting to some, but if it is spread over the whole day it's stuff all. Becides if you feel you are not up to the challenge you can take a 'shortcut' and meet us at an pre-arranged place. As for cost - Depends on how much you and your bike eats... Accomodation as a ruff guess, I think it cost us $55per couple per night for a cabin up at Waipapakauri Ramp (Kaitaia - Northern Exposure trip) and that was 4 of us in a cosy cabin. So when the ride is formerly organised I will get prices of the places we will be staying at and then you can decide if you want to share with Gareth![]()
I think some of the cabin can sleep up to 7 so the cost is even better spread amongst you (a cabin of 5 people is about $20 per person/night etc...). A couple of the places do accomodate for tents if ya wanna go budget too.
