A Senior Member is a user who has been a member for at least 140 days, has at least 240 posts and has a positive reputation.

hows that work?.....i had a red rep thingy but its gone....got to the number of posts were it shows who gave you what and it just isnt there anymore.

I think if the post is removed (by a mod or deleted by the member) then any associated rep that was given for it is removed too, I think? You were in luck!

Correct - any rep that is associated with a deleted post will be deleted at the same time the post goes...
