Only about an hours drive from my wifes home, I will definately be making it to this event sometime. We were going to go to the 2004 event but time didn't allow. Thanks Stephen. Enjoying the heat?
No
Actually the rainy season is just ending, the last few days has been a bit wet, but she cleared up today ...we havent used the air con much at all so far.........
Famous last words !
I need to try and cool the workshop though as it will be impossible come the summer

Thanks for the link Brian.
Sete you will be missed, champion at heart.
Don't know about Tokyo but Nagoya is the humidity capital of Japan, even during the rain season you're sweating bullets!
I read on MotoGP.com that Takahashi broke his arm practicing at Suzuka so will be taking no further part.
Would love to score a copy of the race Rossi and Edwards won together.
Hayden - Evidence that even the mediocre can achieve great things.

Yahoo Japan are going to stream the race live on the net ( I ll find out where) and it looks like all the JSB ( Japan super bikes ) will be there .. here for lastyears races
And the start of last years Race 100k ( but worth it for the 15 sec rear wheel change including Fire !!)

This link here might help http://www.suzukacircuit.jp/8tai/
Heres Colin and Nori, and Colin in action.
if anyone wants an eye opener they have to go to suzuka, it is a town built around a track, awsome stuff, not to mention ferris wheel etc. also, in the surrounding areas there are a bunch of bike shops that would blow your mind, 500 of every item and 15 colours to chose from!!!! TSR racing (they have an NR750 there), Motobum, battlefactory, my mouth is watering already...need to go back!!!!
Hmmmm me getting a cunnign plan
I am planning on heading to japan around this time next year, was hoping to cut it around same time as motogp, but we are planning on climbing mt fuji which is best around july, august, But maybe just go to suzuki 8 hour instead of motogp
mt fuji is open only one month a year, we had a go at it last time we were there, it doesn't look steep, but you will feel the burn!!! it is very very steep at the top, which is ok cos if you get tired you can stop at one of the many stores on the way up and buy coke of chocolate or cigerettes etc or even oxygen masks!!!! (no joke)
hell of a view also.
we arrived at 4 in the afternoon and were still climbing well past 11.
best to climb at twilight, stay in the back packers at the 9th step and climb to the very top just before sunrise, magic!!!!
yeah maido the book i got says you climb at night to arrive on top by sunrise,
It says july/august that its open and best times to climb
Took the Enfield up Fuji , ( If I find the photo will post )
Fuji is nice and yes you do have to climb through the nite, anyway Motegi ..Let me know if you want to go next year, Its good , but expensive , 2000 yen for car park 3000 yen for highway fee, and 20 000 yen for entrance ( We stood on the car roof ..
BUT the hamburger at the indi burger place is about the closest to a NZ burger you will get
Oh and DONT BRING THE WIFE , bring a small black book and a pen ,,,cause the race queens ....
