Manfeild Track day Sunday 30th July CANCELLED !

For those interested there is a Clubsport Open day coming up next Sunday. One of those car and bike days. Maybe the full track (ever hopeful), but the Manfeild site doesn't say and I can't be stuffed emailing them to find out. Usually turn up about 9.00 to 9.30am to register. Road bikes welcome.
Lot of fun with the drifters attracting a crowd. Last few I've done have been either $80 for the whole day or sometimes you paid $10 per sess. Which was quite good since you can bugger off early if you get tired, or weather packs up, without feeling ripped off.
For those not sure, the bikes don't go out the same time as the cars. Only one bike group, none of this slow/fast/bloody idiots category carry on. But it's rarely crowded.
I might go if it's fine - I can hear the cynics laughing already.

Oui ! Who changed my prefix from North island to Wgtn. I feel violated. I atleast expect a 'by your leave' before I get shafted by the invisible man. The target audience was lower North Island by the way, not Wellytown. I need a shower. No one move while I pick up the soap now.

Hey MD. What was the bloody-fast/nana ratio last time you went out on the track on one of these days?

Yea, I might just come and have a lap or fifty at this one... I need to humour myself up a bit. So provided the weather is better than shite, and I don't have too many sherberts on Saturday night...

Individual pace is not a problem because so few bikes turn up. Sometimes only a dozen riders to say 25 tops. Which is a bugger in itself because the organisers might decide it's not worth allowing any bikes to share the day if we don't support these events.
Manfeild is a wide enough track. Any fast bike that can't get passed a slower bike doesn't deserve the cc rating sitting under their gonads.
The problems not overcrowding or slow bikes holding up traffic - it's getting lonely out their with no other bikes in sight.
Lost half my number plate sometime on Saturday with the WOF attached. Now have to get a replacement plate, new number and re-do the WOF before the weekend.

    stop press! event cancelled?

Shit. For those that were keen. I've just heard from someone else keen to go that they may have cancelled this event. So I checked their website 1 minute ago and they have removed it from their Events calendar. It was there yesterday!
I have sent an email to the Track for an update. Will advise when I hear back.
Just as well we have better sealed public roads to race on -NOT.
I tried to change the thread title but it doesn't let me.

F***in hate it when that happens. You should try keeping it locked under your back seat for safe keeping.
