    Fuel Consumption?

Just wondering what sort of volumes of fuel are getting consumed in F2 races at manfield and taupo for a race of X laps.

Im thinking of getting a tank made with a fibre glass cover, just wondering what sort of volume i need to be making it so i dont end up running out of gas.

possibly. and considering that its $170US + postage for a tank vs $80 of fibreglass stuff and some free alluminium for a tank i figured i'd just get one made.

My R6 uses about 270ml per lap at Pukekohe and 300ml for short track at Manfeild and about 425ml for Manfeild's long track

we usually bank on 300 to 350ml per lap on all tracks in NZ, this allows us to take into account restarts etc, we used to empty the tank with a syphon evey race but that wears thin after a while. I like to have at least 500mls left at the end of a race just in case they don't count laps properly.

the most i have used in a race is at the 40 min race at teretonga where we put in 14 litres.
Don't make it too small incase they run the 2 hour at pukekohe again

There's a 22 lap race coming up soon at Manfeild. Don't sell yourself short.
