    Interesting

A couple of items in todays Herald.
Rank and file Police have launched a scathing attack on speed cameras.
British Police Federation chairman Jan Berry said: "I believe some cameras are there as a revenue generator and the Police get the blame for that".
She also said that the cameras were turning the public against the Police.

The National Motorists Association of America has designated June "Lane courtesy month"
They say lane discipline has a powerful influence on highway safety, traffic flow and congestion.
"Arguably, it's effect is more important than speed limits, traffic enforcement or any other attempt to control driver behaviour".

All this does not apply to NZ, we are different. Andy Knackstedt, LTSA spokesman, was quoted as saying.

(I made the last bit up)
