Just went on the scenic drive ride with the KB crew. I was leading Buddy L and Rookie back to Westgate...long story short...the front wheel went from underneath me at about 30k's trying to turn into Waitakere Rd from Scenic Dr and I ended up having a nice body surf over the tarmac.

I was fine. Good thing i just got some amoured pants last week, but now i've put a hole in them ...at least it wasn't a hole in my knee-cap!

Fairing has a few cracks on it (not too bad now that i've put it back into place). I also managed to warp the front disc brakes or something some how. Other than that everything is fine.

Not a bad first 'off'. Kind off fun not that i want to do it again.

Cheers to Buddy L and Rookie for the helping me out

you're a true champion for brushing yourself off and getting back on so quickly . Everything that we didnt fix this afternoon should be fixable without too much cost.

oh yea...dont buy any fibreglass repair kits, i should have enough to fix both our bikes

yea have to admit, the tarmac body surfing looked so dam natural

    Just read this thread,

Thought i was doing all right, coming up to 6 months of riding and i thought i was doing alright then hit by a 4x4. Learnt heaps like 4x4 are pretty solid and we are only squishy. It happens to us all, sometimes your lucky with only a minor one.
It's better to Burn out than to Fade away - Cause thats value for money!!
