Welcome to KB(KiwiBiker)... You will find one soon. but don't pay more than $2000... (I have seen people wanting to sell a 250 that's 16 years old for $7000)
Welcome!
Umm, how does this grab you? http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...328#post696328

I totally agree with you, don't go for a 250!!!
I've never seen a 250, exspecially a ZXR thats in good condition for under $4000.Originally Posted by degrom
If its under $4000 it needs work done it.
If your really looking for something in the 250 class for $2000-ish, your looking at mid to late 80's models or a GN250 lol

Wrong again... I paid $500 for my 83 GN and it purrr's like a beast.. (Could be the rusted exhaust... LOL)Originally Posted by placidfemme
Just kidding with you... GN's are the only cheap 250's you will get. I just can't justify paying $4000 for a 250 when you can get a CB750 that almost needs not work done at that price.
You could get a wrecked one for 2k...Originally Posted by degrom

Bull.. need I remind you of my mighty zxr 250 ...... now it was a beast and changed hands a few times at well under $4000Originally Posted by placidfemme
Zxr's are over priced but if you find one that is "cosmetically challenged" you'll find thier price dropps substantially. And is a good way to get a decent bike and slowly do it up when the funds become available.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...
yeah but you work on all your own bikes, and no doubt there was stuff you had to do on it... I'm saying in general, you don't see ZXR's that don't need work done on them for under $4000 very often, and most of the time when you do they are the "A" model...Originally Posted by aff-man

DEals are to be had on the 89 bikes just need to look out for them.
A newer model as placid said won't go for much under $4k I think the cheapest I've seen is a little over $3k.

Yes... the prices do suck!!! But once you get your full licence and you get out of the 250 demand chain you have more choices to pick of.
