    What he said, if you treat those engines well they keep going forever. If you dont they will fall apart fast, check with your service guy for an appropriate timetable for your bike to be serviced.... then follow it.

    my gpx makes a noise when cold well.. I will try lubing the chain etc

    Welcome to KB... Make sure there are sufficient oil in the motor and the correct type. Synthetic oils are very good as specially on start up and cold times. But they are a bit on the expensive side...

    Good news. The noise wasn't coming from the bike. It was the rev counter... It's at the garage now for a service...
