    It was a great ride!
I really enjoyed getting the flow on with you guys. I thought we were a well matched team and the pace was really sweet.
Loved watching the stunts on the way back, I even saw the ZX9R's front wheel lofted in the air at one stage there

That was a cool naana's ride! Good weather, pretty good road conditions and great company (apart from the dude on the top of the Taka's on the way back....ohh and the old drunk that near spat his falsies at me at the pub! Thanks Skels for organising it, was a shame you didn't carry on with us, you woulda had a blast. Next time eh. Good to meet you again Sugilite. Will have to do that trip again real soon.

Yeah, it was a top ride eh Flame!
Some people pm'ed me asking if I'd taken my 9 on the ride lol, for the record, no I did not ride my racebike that some times mascarades as a road bike, I was on my road bike that sometimes mascarades as an race bike lol (the 1989 ZXR750)
It was none other than flame lofting the front wheel on her 9! No wheelies on the 750 from me, I just sat back and got given the learn on the stunts section of the ride

As for that guy on the GN636 lol
Both Jimbo600 and I gave cry baby a good 3 meters passing him on the outside nice and safe, even he had to admit we had not put him in any danger what so ever.
For the record it was me he had the biggest issue with, apparently I'm going to crash any ride now, I'm a real cunt and I was not that fast anyway. I'm sure he was in a good position to tell for 2.5 corners.
I had to tell him to stop dribbling and fuck off as he seemed to be setting up camp beside us
Anyways, once Jimbo600 and I passed him and some traffic we did get a chance to flow a little bit between traffic blocks and had a moderately rapid ascent of the hill and a moderate wee battle. It was just low key fun as far as we were concerned. Not like we had any slides or anything resembling a close call.

I've only been told off 3 times now on the hill, once by Mr Fuck, so who cares, this time by MR GN636, again
The other time was very well deserved. I was only 19 years old at the time.
I was told off by someone I really respected, so that was even a bigger ouch.
I was sick of riding up front on my own all the time, so I had this brainwave to start at the back of a vic club ride at the bottom of the rapa side coming up....there were between 15 and 20 riders, so I gave them what I thought was a OK lead and set of in pursuit, I had my head down and when approaching that 1st decent right hand hairpin I looked up from my bubble and realized I was going really quick and they had all bunched up for the corner, so I ended up having to go up the inside and I passed the entire club in one corner, ooppppsss!
Mark Baraclough the senior most member absolutely tore strips off me at the top, as mentioned, it was well deserved. That guy taught me a lot about lines over the hill so I was really disappointed I'd pissed him off

If your unsafe and are going to crash soon because of an erratic riding style then that doesnt say much about the rest of us, as your about the smoothest 'fast' person I know. Tell him to go for a ride with Mikey next time, it'll scare the crap out him

    Oooohhhh!! I know this guy.
I was out doing a few quiet runs (yeah right) on the hill when I came across Mr Blue Meanie to be what looked like practising as well. I waved to him and carried on doing my own thing.
I had enough so I was on my last run down the hill going at what I would call an easy pace when Mr Blue Meanie came wazzing up behind me.
Now we all have some sort of competitive bone lurking within, so I did what anyone one of us would do and increased the pace to see what Mr Blue Meanie had.
He reacted by staying with me.
    Game on me thinks.
So chocks away I let her rip and do a not so shabby run down the hill, get to the bottom straights, do a mirror check......no Mr Blue Meanie.
I slow down, pull over and stop just as Mr Blue Meanie comes into sight.
I wave to him as he goes by, and I'm still not sure if he waved back or gave me the finger.

I agree with Jimbo that, Quote..."Anyone who knows us round here knows that we ride fairly hard, but with reasonable care towards cagers. Last thing we want is to piss em off. Cunt was jut all boohooey cos he got learnt."

Mr Blue Meanie I think your learning days have just begun.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

I noticed alot of people talk about how they are fast they are over the takas. My question is what is considerd fast? i have a mate who says he can do it in 7 1/2 mins on his tl1000s. Has anyone ever timed them selves? what is the fastest time over the hill on a 250? where do you time your self from? do you stick to the speed limit? just curios. I love playing on the takas on Sundays but I know I am no match for most people but I still ride as hard as I can over it

Fast is usually the next fastest rider to yourself!

I don't look at the speedometer on winding roads myself.

I've never timed myself over the hill. I don't think there is an official register for times. I'm not sure such a thing would be a good idea either!

I reckon you know your going fast enough when you have a smile on ya dial

The blue kwaka 636. That tosser never waves.

He's only pissed at us coz we make his riding skills look bad!
He'll calm down if he can learn to ride with pace. Till then, Any faster is an inconsiderate A-hole.

Thanks for the blat to Martinborough guys, Pace was alot faster than I normally ride on the roads, but I agree, The riding was respectful of other vehicles.

How was the hill coming back over? I was thinking it would be getting pretty damn windy.

Supposably Fat Jim are talking about organising a time trail. Just to the top... The only problem is he would only do it, if the Cafe at the Top was open!

Anyways, it would be a hell of a lot more interesting than watching Dafe throw a 89 CBR250 of the wharf at the Vodafone Fest.

Is that the Satin Blue 636?

Grumpy little guy who spits when he shouts?

Next overtake is going to involve reaching over and tapping his kill switch.

Presumably he isn't "one of us", or if he is, he has yet to defend himself.
