    Another milestone reached

Well on Saturday, Mrs B and I celebrate 34 fantastic years of marriage. It might be an odd thing to post on a biker site but she's supported my biking passion over all that time; even if she does roll her eyes and sigh loudly in the way that women universally treat 5 year olds. She still comes on the back as long as there's a good feed or shopping at the end of the trip bless her. It's always been quid pro qo though. I buy a GB 400, she buys a piano at twice the price. I buy a BMW K100RS and "we" buy a bigger house. I get a Blackbird and she gets an MX5. Ok, so she does me over every time but I still get her love and support - what a woman.

Which is why although she doesn't know it yet, we're flying to Christchurch tomorrow morning and going out on the town, doing the TranzAlpine train trip on Saturday and hitting the craft market and Arts Centre on Sunday before flying home. Should earn a few brownie points and presents a good opportunity to fess up about those Minotaur leathers I ordered from Tony B.

Catch you guys and gals on Monday.

Well done to both of you. And you'll love the Trans Alpine trip with plenty of snow around the hills. Take plenty of photos for us.

Thanks everyone, it's been a bloody good 34 years too. You're right about '72 Ed, the photo was taken 2 days before we got married. Sigh, the days of micro minis...

She was a teacher and I used to occasionally drop her off on the bike at school dressed like that. Bet that gave the spotties a homone rush

    Sigh....

I hope you haven't undone the good work in your first post by using that picture.

Congrats on the 34 years, that is a top effort.
Best wishes for many more rides and years.

Congratulations - and I like your style regarding the present! Please talk to my husband, we'll be celebrating our second anniversary next March and I'd like a bit of a fuss made!

May you celebrate at least another 34!
