Hey Snot/Teflon, Yeah I'll be up for a post mid-dayer as well, will check in mid-morning and see how things are shaping up. Be good (I think :-) to meet some KBers in the flesh. How about a wee tour of Waipa on the way back?

Got work in the morning, and was then planning on heading up the 22 to Pukekohe (watch anyone on the track), and from there, up to Maha_Man's BBQ in Auckland, so I'll give the Raglan ride a miss..

PS. Does your route include that hill that has that horrible strippy seal on it? if not, I want to know which way you go..

1pm is my kinda departure time see ya in Dinsey

BTW, if you want a detour suggestion, the road on the westside of the bridge at whatawhata down thru Te Pahu to Pirongia is nice, and then if your keen there's a wicked little back-round from the to Otorohonga which you'll probably like, twisty all the way, slowish but fun, could then take the B-road from Otorohonga back to TA that goes by Kakepuku mountain? I guess we can get a plan together as we go anyway.

Good stuff all, nice to hook up with yaz finally.

Only hiccup was me being pulled over by the law in Pirongia for "cutting the corner" leaving the gas station, what a crock of shit, the guy even had the cheek to breathalize me at 2-O'clock in the arvo? WTF? I spose we coulda just been to the pub. The same guy stopped me in Whatawhata a few months back and slapped me with a ticket for doin 90 in the 80k section thru the village. a real tosser. probably a good thing he didnt remember me as my rear is definately past its best-by-date and he didnt really pay much attention to the bike
