That's cool. Kids can be, at the same time, the best thing ever and your worst nightmare!!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I forgot its horses birthdays today.

No wonder the 5 suckas were grumpy this morn when I was feeding hay to them.

Guess I should of wished them a good day.

Happy Birthday to Natalie!!! Also Happy Birthday to all horses!!! I mentioned this fact to people at work and they didn't know what I was on about. A bit of trivial info that they can use at the next pub quiz.

I'm the first of four.. and at my 27th, my sister 10 years my junior turns to me and says; "and how old are you today..??"

I only had pulled the best punch line to a lame situation and flicked a bit of rice at someone.. Growing old is mandatory, growing up..

All the best for your treasured one, Motu..

Oh dear, the day didn't end well for the birthday girl, their car was written off this afternoon. Her partner was coming north along Riverview Rd,going slow in the rain past the quarry - there was a huge mud slick just around a corner and he put it into the bank.He was doing less than 80kph so only has some bruising, but the Commodore is a mess. They have just shifted into their newly built house, and as money is tight at such a time, the car was put on 3rd party fire and theft....not too good when you have a prang all by yourself and no one else involved. The Police were not too impressed with all the mud on the road, and went to have a word with the quarry....the insurance company is also looking to the quarry, but I don't think too much will come of it....at least in the short term.Bummer, just when they think things are coming right.

It still is a good day, the car is just a detail, help them focus on the positive parts of the day, the car problem will pass.
Happy 25 yrs as a dad Motu and happy birthday to your daughter. Cheers John.

Isn't it scary when they all grow up? Our son turns 31 next month Our baby girl just got married, (22), and our eldest daughter, (26), gave us our first grandchild five months ago!

I always feel sorry for the first born, as you say, mate, you make all your mistakes with them as it's your first time for every stage of their lives! Still, again as you probably can testify, your kids will forgive you an awful lot if they know you love them!

Sorry to hear about the accident, glad they're okay! Hope the quarry gets some stick over it!
