Hopefully one less dirty cager on the roads this afternoon!

Was riding from Te Atatu to the City this morning (the learner route) via New Lynn this morning. Some prick has a serious oil leak. Followed it all the way from Te Atatu to Ponsonby. Was tempted to follow it to where the person worked and tell him/her! Hopefully they have a siezed engine now as there was a shit load of oil over the road.

Perhaps it would have been nicer to let the guy/gal know ASAP. After all, someone may have to ride on this endless oil puddle...
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

Well the siezed engine wont take the oil off the road. Oil bung might have come off any number of things. All I can say guys if you see oil pouring out try and stop the driver. The sooner the vehicle is off the road the better for all concerned.

I've traced these down when I've found them, and only ONCE had a nice response by the DCC guys

I've had at least a dozen people who have been grumpy, one took a swing at me. Karma was nice because I saw him later with his car being loaded on to a tow truck.

    Cool

Did you contact the local city council to go out and put sand on the spill?

    Cos they will do that.

Waitakere City Council and also Auckland City council.....
as you went through both council areas.

So then it will safer for all bike riders out there....
