He means those freakin phone support buffoons have an intellect not unlike a monkey, yet have the ability to seemingly converse in understandable English. I'm inclined to agree. I mean if I had a dollar for every phone support guy I've had to call to inform him of a customer's problem, the proceed to explain to him the technical nuances of the issue, then how to fix it (errr just hold on sir, I need to talk to my supervisor...), I'd have...well not as much money as I'd like, but it would still be more than chump change (or is that chimp change?)

im with orcon atm with my adsl.
im paying for 3.5mb connection and only getting 512k-ish in the evenings due to congestion on the exchange. they are blaming telecom and saying there is nothing they can do.

overpriced and crap... no matter what, no matter where!

did you not know that is true? re congestion on exchange. Telecom runs the DSL network and there is only so much bandwidth from the exchange to the core network. And the total amount of bandwidth for the DSL lines far exceeds what it has linking back to the core.

Anyway... 512kbytes per second? thats fast. 3.5MBit is your connection. And there is around 7~8 bits in one byte~!
