I mean if I had a dollar for every phone support guy I've had to call to inform him of a customer's problem, the proceed to explain to him the technical nuances of the issue, then how to fix it (errr just hold on sir, I need to talk to my supervisor...), I'd have...well not as much money as I'd like, but it would still be more than chump change (or is that chimp change?)

If I had a dollar for everyone that phoned up claiming to be a tech who had the IQ of a small lemur, then I'd be rich.

overpriced and crap... no matter what, no matter where!

    fukin sux!
did you not know that is true? re congestion on exchange. Telecom runs the DSL network and there is only so much bandwidth from the exchange to the core network. And the total amount of bandwidth for the DSL lines far exceeds what it has linking back to the core.

Anyway... 512kbytes per second? thats fast. 3.5MBit is your connection. And there is around 7~8 bits in one byte~!
