My 'suspension' was great but really to be honest, other things put a 'damper' on the whole Ohlins celebrational evening

Well I was surprised! I checked the tea leaves in the bottom of my cup, I consulted the stars....everything was pointing to an ATNR without cops but weird...one showed up...go figure!? He was very pleasant while taking my license I might add. At least he didn't try to preach to me about the evils of my ways, or how speed kills...just said bugger about that and went about his job... (he actually congratulated me on having a nice bike...probably thought he may as well be nice to me as we may meet again sometime...lol)

    That's a bugger, that is!
They should at least have the decency to be self-righteous, preachy, "holier-than-thou" arseholes! Then at least you could feel justifiably pissed off at them!
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

He said he had me at 175kph but only charged me at 165kph and no other charge like dangerous driving or anything....i was following him from Kaukapakapa turn off all the way to Dairy flats being a good boy sitting on 100kph and wasn't until I got to the nice sweepers going across the hill just before you go down into Dairy flats where we stopped did I decide to try out my New Ohlins rear suspension (installed that afternoon!) at higher speeds around some sweepers. I chopped down a cog or two and nailed it past what turns out to be an undercover cop in a silver hyundai...DOH!

I went around a couple of corners quite chuffed at how the bike was feeling and then slowed down again to 100kph and cruised into Dairy Flats. I noticed the pretty lights behind me just before where the main group had stopped, and pulled over.

I actually saved a joker on a brand spanking new ZX6R (Black one) from getting a ticket. The cop told me he was about to pull him over (as he actually overtook me and the cop along the straights before the hills) but then I turned up and was too good to be true....yehaww. I wonder what its like walking for 28 days (I'll let u know)

Christ that's a bit of shame but that's some fairly impressive pace you were going there. Only been that fast once and that was on a straight bit of highway..

Bummer on the fine but these things happen.

Now you are part of an elite club. First rule, dont tell anyone about 28day club. We meet at bus stations at 7 on tuesday and thursdays...

I tell you its the curse of the ninja. Ive been there mate and the 28 days go's quicker than you think. To be honnest i think it puts your friends out more than you.

See you when you get back on the road..
