Good to see you recognize the issues. Someone mentioned it ended up being quite a technical ride yesterday and the wet only compounded that (I had a couple of small slides, and witnessed a decent one).

The main thing is to ride your own ride, I think we'd all rather wait an extra couple minutes than pick you up out of the ditch. If someone wants to get past they'll wait for a suitable moment.

And for what it's worth you were riding ok for the small amount I was behind you... seen plenty worse (Myself included).
    Ciao Marco

    - Trying hard not to hold up other riders.
    - $100 fine for not displaying L plates.
    - $100 fine for exceeding 70km/h as per license restrictions by 24km/h
    - 35 Demerit Points.

All that aside though, the ride was still really great. Even in the wet-ish.

I never knew some of those roads even existed until tonight, and they are quite well kept too. Was good to meet a few people who enjoy riding as much as I do.

I wasn't really sure what to expect when turning up, was a little above my skill level I think. However, that just makes me want to get out and practice even more than before. Looks like I'll need to find somebody suitable to guide me in the right direction.

Before that though, I should really get off my *** and buy an L plate. Then go sit my restricted so that this doesn't happen again, heh.
Umm, how did you get pulled over by cop and found out for learners?

I didn't see any of the constabulary for the roads I joined in on, let alone a checkpoint?

Joined in did you? I'd like to know how and where. It was a small ride of 6 bikes, I led it and waited for the 5 other bikes at each intersection. Can't say I saw you

Also the Regular Sunday ride covers a wider spread, but you will still need to be able to do open road speeds to keep up.

I actually found an L plate in my pocket the other night from someone I was coaching so your welcome to that if you want.
Nah you've been secretly holding to a keepsake....all this time

I was the zxr400, caught you guys around silverdale/riverhead area, and there were definitely more than 6 bikes...

As long as you have no other need for it, ill gladly accept your offer.

Not that its really important how or why, but I was riding along the motorway back towards westgate and fell victim to an un-marked who ran my plates. Simply bad luck. Wasn't speeding.
