No, sorry, wasn't clear then, what I mean is, MotoTT's on Friday, I'm riding down on Thursday night after work.

I never meant to offend steve and dawn, they do a top job putting it on, and for some it's great, but so many people get busted, i mean how thick do you have to be to still do dumb shit on a ride that is the most well known for being cop infested, the police themselves have said they will always be there!

steve and dawn say it every week before the ride sets off yet people continually get done, it's like riding into a trap.

I just don't see the logic. All i meant was maybe just have the pub at the end, the ride gets too much cop attention.

We don't seem to have this problem on the Wednesday night ride down here. I guess they go a bit quick for the po po from these parts. Actually
they don't usually decide where they're going till just before leaving. Keeps them guessing.

Yeah, where as ATNR is prettymuch same route every week, cops just use the road they always use ie waitoki etc.

if they altered it every week completely they would be sorted, but they only change some of it, some parts never change, thus the cops sit there.

Or people could just ride within the law. It's a social cruise, with a meet at the end. Pick another night for hooning.

... just to confirm we're all on the same page here... you are talking about the Auckland Thursday Night Ride... right? It's actually a Traffic Cop training exercise where newbies can get the hang of radars, writing tickets, taking licenses and imounding vehicles.

Will be there and I hope the pack can keep up this time...

Can I suggest a new role too - we have the tour leader... we have tail end charlie... we need the mine sweeper too... someone to go as fast as they can over the course then ring tour leader from their cell with a report of where they got busted...
