Hey one thing that did worry me. There was one person on the ride.
No jacket and no gloves --pretty scarey stuff concidering what we did indeed encounter along the way

Great ride as usual, sorry I didnt come to the pub I went home to do some more paperwork
Well done Shane, we was waitin![]()
Get your motor runnin, head out on the Highway ....
Don't know if it's been said or no... but if you are on point make sure you are easily visible to the stream of bikes that need to see you. Sitting 20m around the corner is a bit fucken late when a bike goes past you, closely followed by the bikes behind them.
I understand there was a case (or two?) or people leaving the corner before Tail End Charlie came through too. For those that are new(ish) to the ride - this causes ab-so-lute mayhem.
People go missing, get lost, we're not sure if anyone's lying in a gutter somewhere and it makes life absolute hell for those organising it (That'd be the quickies by the way... huge huge HUGE ups to them for that).
I recon anyone on point going AWOL has to buy one food platter for the table at the far end. Lessons get learned and us poor hungry bikers get a feed...

Shame hubby and I couldn't make it yesterday for the ride, as it had a good turn out. But it was great catching up with "the mad house lot"afterwards at the pub.
*and Frosty gives great hugs, and Big Dog gives the best piggy back rides
*
So many new faces though.
I hope to be able to ride out with you all next week, then go on to have some drinkies for Mack.
D'OH! And here we were having a giggle at Frostys expence. Message got a bit scrambled by the time we got it at the other end........
Well said MDU.As I said at the midway re-group, if you do not want to participate and do pointer duty you might as well f#$k off from the ride as you are letting down the rest of the group! The pointer system works very well - it stops riders getting lost and helps locate accidents or breakdowns.... and dont think that I never take note of who was supposed to be at those points....
Some riders did have trouble spotting the pointers due to their position on the road. Keep in the back of your mind when get to point, that if you were to come around the corner - would you see them where you are sitting now?
However there were 80% new riders on the ATNR last night and we did 70% new route so even with a few hiccups I think things went very well considering we had 38 bikes...............
On another note:
What did everyone think of the route last night? Boring or good? (Becides the Road Works - but they were everywhere!) Still open to peoples comments via PM - if you know of a good road let me know and we will see if it can be included into the ATNR.
Thanks for the ride guys n gals - Will be trying another new route next Thursday.......

Was a great ride last night Qkchk. Thanx.... Oh I miss the ATNR.....
Glad I can come up and do it from time to time.
Was disappointed not seeing more of the older crowd on the ride . Mostly newbies. Was a great route tho......
The Road works was a bit hair-raising near Albany. Didn't realise they were there until on top of the gravel.

Actually it ainst so much newbees--as you lot havent turned up for awhile
One Thing I'd just like to add --JORJA was on a lil 225. I was riding ultra conservative sticking to posted speeds etc. Jorja stayed with me the whole time. Then we got to the gravel bits and her dirt riding experience came in.
She was Catching up with much bigger bikes
And this for a ATNR virgin --and only her second ride on that bike
Brought a tear to me eye it did
