Loved the route, when you said W...... road, my eyes lit up! my back yard thrashing roads! think I may have scared a few Gixxers and other big bikes just before Kemu, if you know them, those sweepers can be taken at quite a clip

meh meh all I could see were straights... Schnappy likes crazy tight corners, not dronning on 6th at 110 meeh meh... bring back the old route I say. dont need to speed on those roads to have fun. Take the sweepers at 110 ull get ur knee down have fun if thats your thing etc... let alone some of the other bits, I'd be impressed if anyone could hold a constant 80 through some of those twisties. my 2c.

    Let him who hath understanding
Reckon the number of the beast

Its number is six hundred and sixty six.

    HI guys

What's the normal "protocol" for the Auckland Thursday night ride? I've not been on one and really fancy coming along. Any info would be great.

    Cheers

There's two options, they go like this:

    1) Turn up
    2) Have a nice cruise through the countryside
    3) Finish up at pub to talk shit before heading home.

Or the other option which people seem to like taking:

    1) Turn up
    2) Ride like a knob and lose licence
    3) Too embarrased to turn up at pub.

I generally pick the first one.

No problems as long as you dont run anyone off the road and can listen to instructions.......best thing is come along and see if its your kind of ride. Have had alot of people come and go over the years and Ive still havent got rid of half of them...

Reading Page 1 of this thread sums it up quite nicely. Don't endanger anyone else on the ride and you are responsible for your own actions. All is explained at the pre-ride briefing on the night. As said above - Come and try, if you dont like what you see.......well, its up to you.
