Speaking of whom - was he on the ride last night? He went past me on the NW (splitting like... well. imagine it for yourself... true to form) but I didn't see him go past on the ride.

Yes Skidmark was on last night's ride.... on the 250cc borrowed bike.

In fact keep an eye out for film footage of his riding skills.
He taped a videocamera to the front of his bike......
Awaiting Disco_Dan to put it up on 'youtube' for everyone to view.

He was lucky. Lucky to make it all the way to the end of the road in one piece... and lucky I didn't stop into the Shell and take his keys for a ride to Kumeu with me.

Rides past me like that again I fucken will...

Mark - you're fast, but you're not clever, and "good" isn't on your CV either. Sort it chap. We've had enough funerals of late...

I thought that as I wrote it... sad but true. Shit - you'd think a lesson would have been learned... no?

Unfortunatly I think the only thing that will learn Mark is a very long stay in hospital, and even then the lesson will be marginal I fear

True enough, but then the thursday ride does seem to contain a higher than average number of newbies.

I always ride sensibly, that is not the same as riding to the posted limit.
On a ride where there are known to be coppers around I'd say you were wrong. Whilst I may not agree with some of the speed limits around they are the law, and if you choose to break that law you have to live with the conseqences. If you depend on your bike to get to work and back, I'd say speeding on the thursday ride is indeed less than sensible.

Well i've lived in rodney for 4 years, but only had a road bike for 5 weeks. Last night was my 3rd thursday night ride and ignorance is bliss as this whole cop/bike lark is so new.

Aye, and a heap of bikes all going at exactly 50 down the hill into Albany where our laser-gun friend was waiting (thanks to the cagers giving advanced warning)

I had a ball on my first ATNR - will definately be back. Having a 250 with carbs needing a sort-out carrying a tubby-bloater like me helps avoid tickets

well i'm usually a volenteer for the TEC just because its the ease of it ... don't let a car past me doing less then 110 so if they do its either a twat or a piggies and if its a piggies i generally text up a head to let people know
