    Trust me, it was horrible beyond belief. I don't do that anymore but I won't ever forget the sights sounds and smells. It certainly made me ride and drive slower and most importantly more defensively than I used to.

    Just had a thought, why don't they make drink drivers or speeding offenders do time with ambos or crash units picking up the pieces? May help make them think twice about repeat offending.

    Yeah if only!!! Probably a breach of their human rights or some tree-hugging bollocks like that though.

    So many people would say after a crash (for the ones who survived) "I never thought it would happen to me" - it seemed in my experience to be a common belief that people generally think shit only happens to someone else and then they act so shocked when it does happen to them (or someone close to them) - even when they were driving or riding so stupidly that the result was almost inevitable.
