Hmmmm, I really hope you're wrong but it doesn't look that good at this stage.

I'm gonna risk it anyway. See you guys there.

You are not wrong about that! First real wet weather ride in nearly 30 years!

Still, the upside of doing nearly 500ks in the rain in one day is that it steepens the learning curve somewhat...so no longer terrified of the rain..repectful, but not terrified. Thanks for that..have missed out too many rides because of the possibility of rain.

Good to meet you Zapf and Chickenfunkster and thanks Zapf for your advice.

615ks all up, great ride, thanks Kiwifruit.

    Thumbs up

How cool that you have, so far, all enjoyed the day despite the rain!
Imho, some of my best rides have been in the rain. I get this huge sense of achievement when I get home from a long ride in the rain. When you've beaten slippery roads, cagers out to get you, 10% visibility, freezing fog on the Mamaku's.....it makes you feel GOOOD to be alive!

Fuck yeah Kel, like the last Coastal Cruiser run...was an awesome ride and pissed down with rain most of the way. Was a good test for the leathers which passed with flying colours
