Heads Up and Enjoy The Ride
So how'd it go? Do tell all please.
I'm surfing the net at home, as on my previous Rimutaka experience I broke the old hand, and just got another medical cert for another month off work! Doh!
A news item has been posted on the start of the event. Read the article here.

Here for the ride.
Just back. I wussed out after Martinborough - it was watering down...I'm just in the process of transferring the photos...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
Man there were at least 80 bikes before we left from Caltex, I dont think I knew more than half the people there! Was good to catch up with everyone. Paul, your bike is looking awesome!![]()
I left to go home from Martinborough as was still a bit sore for my spill the other day. When we left there were som native locals playing around with the bikes so I yelled at them and the moved along....
Was great to get put for a wee blat![]()
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
I did manage to get some hazy shady fuzzy cell phone pics - so here's them... The other better ones are to follow...
1. Rimutex chatting
2. More pre-ride chatting
3. Featherston left turn
4. Chow at the Pukemanu pub.
5. Oh my mrs Kendawg! Will it fit?
6. A square full o' bikes....
Really enjoyable ride - I even led a group (or pod) at one stage. If the sign points left and says "Martinborough" then it would be an idea to go the other way (to Lake Ferry) wouldn't it??? Not me but if you look closely at the photo's you'll see a certain hungry young lady that eventually caught up....
Hels you were yelling all day...

Good ride had by all? And no whoopsies??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
More pics of the Great KBer Ride
Here for the ride.
A huge thankyou to all the people who helped organise this. I had such an awesome day, discovering new roads is always fun. Thanks to the people who stopped at the intersections and showed us which way to go.
I feel my riding has improved so much recently, still got a huge grin on my face from finding the limits of my rear tyre on the Rimutaka's. 430 K's today for me, all the way from Palmy.
Had to laugh at the cows trying to race usout the back of lake waiarapa. I took a few photos which I will post up soon. Didn't really whip the camera out too much kind of forgot about it with all that adrenaline pumping through my veins.
So yeah once again thanks so much for organising everything people, you know who you are. Lets do it again next weekend.
Photos to follow...
Hey Klown hope you made it home ok.
Good to catch up with the Triumph riders. Paul NZs new old bike looked pretty cool.
Was a good ride home with the road dry all the way.
A great days riding.
