What skelstar, a big ride like that and you didn't even take the trouble to give the hornet a sprucing up! I suspect a number of participants spent an amount of time polishing up their pride and joys in prep for the big event.

I'll get down there for a ride one day, give that mikey the learn.

Well we had ridden a fair few kms in the rain in the previously flooded Waiarapa. It was all silty and wet.

Besides, Hornets are 'hard yards' bikes...not pretty shiny sportsbikes.

    Is that your new excuse?
Sargent Major: "Now then, who called the cook a bastard?"

What an awesome day, thanks for organising Slingshot. Was glad to hear nobody chucked their bike and themselves down the road, have to say that most of the riding I saw was fairly reserved. Thanks Uncle B for pointing the way to us too.
Hey Col I wanted to go to Lake Ferry, it was completely intentional.. , ok, just call me a sheep, I followed! And that is a really nasty little pic of me quietly eating my salad (even though I posed so you didn't get my bad side).
Hels, why is it every photo I see of you, you always seem to have a posse of young men with you, is there something you're not telling us?
Anyway, good to meet a few more of you crazy guys and get a few Hornets together for a few pics, don't worry PastyBee, we didn't have a 'fastest bumble bee race' without you.
Cheers all, lets do it again soon.
    Mrs KD.

Well it did have its upside in that we ended up with a lot of clear road ahead of us heading into... shit what was the name of that place again?

great ride, all apart from the syoppie caused by Jim 2 at the oneway bridge, how many bikes had to slam on both to stop?

You were supposed to Give Way to the car coming the other way.

I didn't cause anything. I moved out of your way because you can't understand the fucking road code.

I'm serious. I'm really fucked off with you.

Yeh! I made a photo (even if it is only my back)

Thanks for the organising guys. Had a great day which started off with a nice pleasent trip through the Akatawara's in the mist. Good to catch up with a few people and sorry I didn't get to meet more of you. So many bikes, not enough time to drool. Thanks to the 'slow' group for the company and for the ride back to Kapiti. Had an awesome time.
