If you upgrade to the faster speed and stay with Xtra its gunna cost you, as once you reach your cap of 10gig they dont reduce your speed but instead charge you 2c per megabyte. Doesn't sound like much but it will quickly add up to a rather large bill at the end of the month.
With me I have stayed on my 10gig 2mbit plan despite Xtra constantly hassling me to "upgrade". With the old plan I'm on I get 200k upload speed, whereas if I "upgraded" my upload speed would drop to 128k. Reason I wasn't automatically upgraded was that when I signed on years ago the upload speed was higher and if Xtra upgraded me to the new plan I could go for compensation for a downgrade
Whatever plan you guys get.........make sure you read the small print, also with the new plans you can get lower performance. I have had mates who were on 2mbit and were upgraded to 3.5mbit and are now actually running at 1mbit and have been told to suck it as Telecom now doesn't guarantee speed
