Thread: Shrek - gutted.

    Shrek - gutted.

My daughter came inside last night a bit upset - apparently that sheep Shrek who was famous for a day being a long hair was killed before cameras .He was dragged into a shed and a close up was shown of his throat being cut, then hung up and gutted. She didn't expect to see him being killed in such callous detail,I wasn't much better when I told her that's what happens to sheep - but later apologized.

In retrospect it seems a bit bizarre that this sheep who was famous internationally for a day should then be slaughtered in front of cameras a few weeks later - the lives of the rich and famous eh?

LOL at title of this thread!! It was on 'eating media lunch' last night, must say when I watched it I thought that it would cause a bit of a stirr.

Obviously most people in this country don't appreciate Jeremy Wells ascerbic wit - especially judging by the amount of complaints to the TV station this programme received.

For the record, the sheep was a "body double" - Shrek is alive and kicking.

Can't say the same for the body double but
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yip, i just heard on the rock the guy that owns shrek get interviewed. He is fine and making a guest appearance at some place this weekend.

Apparantly the sheep has already raised $75 grand for charity.

MAF's animal welfare investigators are all over this like a rash. The biggest mobilisation of resources following a televised animal welfare abuse since the "City Girls" programme where a tractor was used to assist a cow giving birth...

Shrek will be starring at Trentham this weekend -- his undercard acts are the finalists from NZ Idol...

Typical bloody media. Anything to sell the next season, complaints = people they know watched the program.
