Thanks for the ride Jim2 , Had a great ride on your bike via gladstone / martinborough / featherstone trying to catch up
I stopped in Martinborough and gave your tank bag a ring.
Your bike needs a softer seat .... with that ohlins rear you can feel every pebble . Smooth engine too.

Trip down the Taka's wasn't much fun in the rain and wet ... Can someone explain to me why Italian leather manufactures stick lycria in the crotch region in sports leathers ?.

I take it the "steel belted" GSXR made it home OK ?

Nice to meet some others from KB for the first time , Hope all you Jappa owners didn't mind a Italian to tag along.

At the start of the ride I swore there was plenty of rubber on the rear.
That explains the lack of traction I was able to put down and why I spent half the time wondering why Velox was still in my mirrors

Bloody good ride with bloody good people....cheers you lot.

Yes Sugi, new tyre has been organised.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

The pot holes where twins big enough to turn around an interisland ferry. Just as well they were full of water otherwise we'd still be digging Carl out. They were easier to see once Carl had emptied most of the water out of them.
    Sorry about your rims ....

Carl , don't take any shit from this lot , Your riding fine with good lines.

You must have read a few books in your life huh?

That's exactly what the writing style is like. It was like reading an interesting short story. 1 that was an enjoyable read.

Good to see you having fun Jim.

Hey - I could see metal through my tyres by the end of it too! Admittedly not nearly as much, but still...:eyepoke:

Yeah , it pays for the person with the puncture repair kit to stay at the back with this lot. Was half expecting to use it on the journey home.

Just got a "new" rear tyre - Racetech. It's been raced though so isn't actually new - same with the old ones so would've def got quite a few less ks than I would've out of new ones.
