    Music: The ideal concert?

So - what would be YOUR ideal live show?
Mine would be Sevendust opening for Metallica..... but I don't just want to hear from others of similar tastes.....and don't bother with limits like bands that are still together/artists who are still alive etc

Actually I amend mine - Nirvana, Sevendust, Metallica. Any more than that in the one concert and I would explode.

Was reading Anthony Kiedis' autobiography a while back and he mentioned how the Chillis played with Nirvana and Pearl Jam back in the day. Imagine how huge the concert would be if it was held now.

I heard about a concert (years ago), and if I remember rightly it was Led Zep opening for Pink Floyd, and was a free concert. Could it get any better!! But on a more current line up, U2 opening for Metallica, hell yeah!(or the other way around).

Are you out of your mind? IF U2 Opend for Metallica they would get all manner of shit thrown at them. Very few Metallica fans like U2 mostly cause Bono is a selfritious twit and would never stand for them to be anywhere near a Metallica concert. Same thing the other way around. Thier styles of music is also incompatable in my opinion.

Actually that could be fun, I'de love to knock those stupid sunglasses off bono's face with a heavly glass bottle, then jam out to some Met.

Soundgarden opening for Rage Against The Machine. One of many I'd like to see.

Save yourself the time travel and just go see Audioslave.

Exactly, it would be cool. I just want my money's worth and to get to see my two favourite bands that are still together and tour, would be cool.
I found it interesting when Metallica played the big day out how many people mainly went to see them, but sat through the entire day listening to music they wouldn't normally listen to or like. I just like value for money.

And fair enough too Mrs KD!

The point of this thread is that I was idly wondering, so hey, anything goes. Having said that, I went to the BDO to see MetallicA specifically, i.e. I turned up at about 5pm and left after they played...

For me a great line up would be..
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Incubus
    Pearl Jam
    Dire Straits
    Pink Floyd
    The Police
    Eric Clapton
    David Bowie
    Meat Loaf
    Eagles
(I could go on and on...)

Some kind of festival with all of the above would be great. Just because we have mastered time travel now and all. Oh no wait we havent, damn.

    Dreams are free.
