Hope you all now have respect for the mighty Ginny Got tucked in to race position on way home or the headwind would have taken me backwards. I'm stoked that I managed to use 80% of my tyre width on the windy bits

Yes, a good ride indeed, Good to meet a few new faces, and some old ones too. Thanks for organising Maverick .... don't know if you know this already but rides out Kaiaua way are notorious for splitting up after lunch, except for the learners groups. Don't let this put you off though.

Good riding with you ArcherWC and Hellraiser. That was quite fun thru the twisties on the way home. And hope you got home OK WarlockNZ. How'd you get on, on the way home? I dunno what guys put on Hyosungs, but the Pirelli Sport Demons that I put on my VTR250 transformed it!!

Awesome ride, first highlight was not stalling it on the way out from BP !

Had a few later in the day though

Brilliant ride... absolutely perfect... it was my first ride in traffic ever (on the way to Botany) and we hit 2 redlights in the whole way from out West. Weather by and large was excellent... and then on the way back West from BP (in much increased traffic now ) had Warlock watching my back, and Fub@r taking me down buslanes.... great learning experience in what felt a safer traffic environment then just me on my own.

Twistys were awesome, even if I didn't quite have the confidence speed wise.... got caught out on a left hander that tightend... and have the back step out a bit approaching another too fast, but everything went fine and it was one hell of a cool feeling

Awesome stuff, time to give my arms and wrists a good rest and i'll probably be falling asleep in Snakes on a Plane tonight...

Though Jason (CBR600) and me didn't actually ride with you guys, it was good catching up with you all at the fish shop and meeting some of you.

Well, overall that was a pretty good ride, the first decent one i have had in about 2 months...

However, in a moment of total noobness, i was looking behind me while riding 20kph on a straight piece of road looking back at a corner waiting for Gareth and Tristan, and managed to ride down into a ditch...what a dumb ass, I know!

Not much damaged, most of the scratches were there from a low side while racing, Nothing was hurt but my rep, so you are all free to laugh at me.

I also have to say, don;t get IRC tyres, they are shit. I kept loosing the front end of my bike whil the dunlop on the rear held firm. Adjusted the suspension at Kaiaua, but only helped a little bit. They make the front of the bike quite twitchy too. I dont like them.

Who really fucken gives a flying two week old runny peas and carrot shit, just get on whatever bike you own and ride it.

But I absoloutely love it when someone goes "Those Hyosung GT250's are gutless" and then I blast past them on the road. People should stop worrying about other peoples choice of bike and worry about getting their riding ability on par with their own bikes capabilities.

Over 19,000 km in 7 months of hard riding and I've only had one major problem (Coil crapped out around 1,500km) and 2 very minor issues that were easily and quickly resolved. Build quality? as good as any other, there are teething issues in some areas but they are a solid bike when maintained and stored properly.

Big ups to you Fub@r! You have taken the Ginny to new levels of respect - for a moment on one of the straights, I thought it was riderless or you had fallen off! Turns out you were streamlining - always the thinker, trying to eke out the max from your machine!

I'm kinda put out - I don't actually know how my Hornet sounds because I'm on it!

The ride today was absolutely fan-frikkin'tastical! So many bikes to drool over and finally put some faces to some nicknames (though Rusty deserves the award for most original nickname that is a real name!) Some seriously kewl and powerful machines out there today. It was nice tootling along in a group and was good to finally see some other riders in action. Thanks again to Fub@r for noting that I tend to sit to the left and aim my bike to the right! (wonder if thats because I got an unbalanced lead arse!)

The twisties were good - I managed not to cross over the center line of those nefarious S-bends-trying-hard-to-be-a-switchback! Even managed to touch 140 (naughty since I had my L-plate on, which mysteriously I lost again when I got home!)

Triple Big Ups and Props to Maverick, nice informal set up but effective - all perfect 'cept the part where the scenic group all hared ahead and only the mighty Ginny made the right turn! (which was actually a left, but I digress) At the end of it all, I had to appreciate the sweet goodness that comes from riding two wheels of freedom - glad to hear no-one got seriously hurt (only pride) and hearing about some others learning points was invaluable! Almost as invaluable as a rebuilt sleeve for an engine costing 10k!
